To set the backdrop we were at an ice cream shop enjoying soft serve, two with fudge, one with sprinkles. Tessa was enjoying that fact she was sitting at the table, no booster, no highchair barely able to see over the table's edge and certainly not able to see in her dish. Tessa didn't want help with her dish, it was placed on a napkin like her Daddy and all was right with the world. She had skillfully maneuvered her spoon to remove all sprinkles, was dancing to the music and decided she was done. We let her stand in the booth and suddenly without provocation or indication my child threw her body on the table announcing loudly "UH OH" grabbing what can only be described as a 1/4 of a piece of one sprinkle. Do you know how freakin' small that is?? This pink tidbit blended in so well with the fancy Formica table top I wasn't sure what she had. She exclaimed, turning to me while on her stomach with the rogue sprinkle in hand...."TESSA'S!" and popped the niblet in her smiling mouth. We haven't laughed so hard in a long time.
Sprinkle detritus beware, my child has eagle eyes and you will be discovered!
