Sorry for the delay - the internet was on the blink again. Got up early to try one more time.
Tessa did great at the medical exam. The place was a zoo as you had to walk through the regular clinic to get to the exam area which was split into three rooms - weight/length/temp, head circumference/over all body review/chest sounds/heart and hearing/throat. We had to declare her fever as an answer to one of the questions but everything else went smoothly. Her official weight is 13.7 pounds and she is 25 inches long. We have one more appointment to go and we are done!! The swearing in ceremony is in two days and it is a no camera situation. I guess we will figure out what we are swearing to - we already promised the Chinese government to treat her like a queen (okay, not really in those exact words). Right after we buzzed over to Starbucks for a family snack. They serve drinks in real mugs - go figure. The Starbucks is a welcome sight and quite different compared to the rest of the restaurants. They are sprucing up the entire area for the Asian games. The small section of island we are on reminds everyone of New Orleans, very french inspired architecture with huge old trees. We took lots of pictures as it very interesting this exists in the middle of a large city. The flowers and wide cobblestone pathways are very nice. Once the construction is completely finished it will be beautiful.
We also did the red couch pictures today, and dummy me didn't hit the right button on the video camera - so it was still shots only. We had one crying baby, and it was over in about 5 minutes. The dress I bought Tessa was the smallest they make - it fit, but she will probably be able to wear it this one time. Will said to get another one - I say try to return it??
On a happy and unexpected note, Tessa rolled over today. Oh it wasn't graceful but she did it and was so pleased with herself. She apparently is saving all her tricks and letting us experience them little by little. She is feeling better each day.

She is just adorable. She was not afraid of the doctors or anything. Very laid back I'd say. She is a very lucky little girl to have you both for parents.
I love the picture of Tessa and the nurses looking at her temperature on the thermometer, and how about that face when her heart is being listened too - she seems to be saying "It this allowed?".
