Round 3 (ding ding)! Ah, the ole' your paperwork is expiring letter, gotta love it. We will be updating our home study and all the joyous things that go with it...fingerprints, background checks, medical exam etc. for what is the third and hopefully the last time.
Oh how I love going to the INS every 15 months for a visit.
And to my dear friends, you will be getting your letter of recommendation to vouch for our good characters, joyful dispositions and fun loving spirit. You are fabulous, really you are.
For any of you just starting out here is a sample of documents that must be collected for your dossier:
1. application letter
2. home study
3. birth certificates
4. marriage license
5. physical exams
6. employment letter
7. financial status
8. background checks
9. 1-797C
10. copies of passports
11. extra passport pictures
12. family lifestyle pictures
13. child abuse clearance
14. etc.
If you have a good adoption agency they will make this seem less overwhelming. It is the constant renewal that is difficult emotionally.
