We just barely made it to the fair this year. In what could have been a true family disaster my FIL was able to continue the streak of going to the local fair every year since he was born (so the story goes). The weather last week was terrible and plans shifted to the last day.
The animals are my favorite part but Tessa seemed most interested in the people. And let me tell you there are some characters at our local fair. My FIL paraded Tessa around to meet all his buddies - he is so proud. Next thing you know he will have her entering wild grapes and nuts in hopes of winning a blue ribbon. :)
I dragged Tessa and Daddy to an art and craft fair on Sunday. Will hears the word "craft" and thinks macrame owls and suncatchers, but this was a little different. The fair was sponsored by the local art council so the vendors were a nice variety of established artist/crafters. Plus it was held at a living farm (1894) so there were more animals for Tessa to see. She stared at the baby cow for about 1o minutes and decided the rooster was interesting enough to get some attention. Her wonder at new things continues to amaze me. I am so curious what she is thinking when she furrows her brow or points in random directions. Most of the time we have no idea what she is pointing at exactly. When she gets excited about something she kicks her legs - that is our only indication that we are guessing correctly.
Babies are amazing, truly. So much to learn, such innocence of the world.

Looks like you had a great time. I love your description of her kicking her legs when she's excited.
Of course she loves animals-just like her mother. She is a little ah big blessing to all of us. Can't wait 'til I see her again in person.
